SUNBIRD KUCHAWE IN K500 MILLION ROOM RENOVATIONS

Sunbird Hotels & Resorts, Malawi’s leading hotel chain has completed the full renovation and refurbishment of the rooms at Sunbird Ku Chawe, the premier and iconic mountain resort in Zomba. The renovations to the tune of K500 million, are part of the holistic efforts that have been implemented to ensure an improved guest experience at the mountain resort.

The Chief Executive of Sunbird Hotels & Resorts, Samson Mwale said, “Our promise to our customers remain that we are the home of hospitality, and are committed to ensuring value for money experiences. This investment in Sunbird Ku Chawe consolidates our efforts in making sure that the premier mountain resort continues to deliver unparalleled guest experience, this is proof of our determination as a brand to continuously respond to emerging trends as well as aligning with the customer needs.”

Mwale further commented “The renovations and refurbishments cover all the room inventory at the resort. The refurbishment specifically includes; bathroom upgrades and renovations, installation of modern furniture fittings, and new carpets. The refurbishment is set to compliment the new facilities at the resort that have been added in recent years which include; new and modern kitchen, heated swimming pool and Sauna.”

Mwale further added, “I am pleased to also announce that our rooms renovation and refurbishment at Sunbird Mzuzu is on course, and positioned to further cement the premier city hotel in the north as the destination of choice for accommodation and meetings. The upgrades cover accommodation rooms, bathrooms and specific meeting rooms”.
