Sunbird to unveil landmark Conference Centre at Sunbird Mount Soche

Sunbird Mount Soche last year embarked on the construction of a K2.1 billion state of the art International Conference Centre, which will be ready and open for business by October 2019. The Conference centre aims to enhance customer experience for Conference Delegates, Event go-ers, Event and Conference Organisers, while keeping in track with global trends in the hospitality Industry. The Conference Centre further aims to strategically position Sunbird Mount Soche as the leading hospitality provider for large scale conference and entertainment events in the city of Blantyre.

The facility includes an 800 seater major conference arena with state of the art facilities built specifically to suit modern demands for high profile and capacity activities. Some of the facilities include; a 5 language interpretation solution to manage international conferences, intelligent lactern with built in touch screen for the presenters confidence linked to the projection solution, Stage lighting for specific events ambience. The main Conference hall has been designed with capacity to accommodate different meeting setups including; Auditorium, Banquet, Hollow square, and Classroom style setups. The Conference centre’s design includes two executive board rooms and six medium conference rooms inclusive of smart touch screens for projection and presentations ideal for meetings and break out rooms.

The Conference centre is now in the final phase of its construction and all works are on schedule for the facility to be ready by October to the delight of most customers who have for long waited for this facility to be ready for business. This Conference centre is located right at Sunbird Mount Soche premises adjacent to the hotel.
