SENIOR SALES MANAGER


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Planning, developing and executing the sales strategy plans for the hotels in liaison with Head of Sales, Marketing & Distribution.
  • Overseeing management of portfolios of high profile accounts and providing them with a first class account management service.
  • Identifying major segments and business drivers to each unit to arrive at optimum rates and occupancies.
  • Managing sales forecasting activities and setting performance goals, reviewing and analyzing sales performances against programs and plans.
  • Developing and maintaining strategic long-term trusting relationships with high volume clients to accomplish organic growth and long-term company objectives.
  • Coordinating and participating in business performance reviews and isolating key factors affecting the trading results for each hotel accordingly for “fix it” strategies.
  • Monitoring and collecting monthly external and internal business environment data and competitor activity information.
  • Carrying out reviews and managing the product overview and portfolio of the Group.
  • Developing and recommending product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share.
  • Ensuring an aggressive lead generation strategy for new, and dormant business across all segments.
  • Growing and effective Management of Sunbird Loyalty Program-The Sunbird Premier Club.

Knowledge, Skills, Competences and Attributes desired:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Social Science or related field from any institution recognised by NCHE.
  • Must possess and demonstrate exceptional Sales knowledge
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar position at Managerial level.
  • Previous hotel experience and travel industry is an added advantage.

PROCUREMENT OFFICERS

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receiving kitchen market lists and system purchase requisitions for due processing.
  • Sourcing quotations for goods and services sourced from non-preferred suppliers.
  • Negotiating prices with suppliers to ensure that goods and services are sourced competitively.
  • Ensuring that goods from suppliers have been delivered or collected timely.
  • Following up with suppliers on outstanding items in cases of non-delivery.
  • Conducting monthly market surveys.
  • Coordinating quarterly supplier performance appraisal.
  • Preparing periodic purchase reports.
  • Preparing monthly cost savings’ reports.
  • Coordinating monthly Hotel Procurement Committee meetings.

SECURITY SUPERVISORS

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conducting parade inspection and ensures proper handovers are done.
  • Ascertaining the availability of security equipment and tools.
  • Monitoring and controlling access to the hotel.
  • Patrolling the hotel premises for guards’ coverage.
  • Liaising with outsourced security service provider.
  • Conducting investigations and compiling reports on all hotel incidents and accidents.
  • Ensuring 24-hour security of the entire hotel premises.
  • Ensuring vehicles coming in and going out of the hotel are properly recorded.
  • Identifying training gaps and conducting training to all security Guards.

  • Diploma in Security Management from any institution recognized by NCHE.

MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Developing medium to long term plans for the maintenance department.  
  • Ensuring availability of spares and tools for the hotel various equipment.
  • Formulating annual preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Conducting room care program regularly.  
  • Supervising and certifying contractors work by ensuring that it is carried out according to set standards.
  • Monitoring maintenance costs.
  • Any other duties assigned from time to time.

Knowledge, Skills, Competences and Attributes desired:

  • Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineeringfrom any institution recognized by NCHE; those with Bachelor’s degree in the above disciplines will have an added advantage.

ASSISTANT INTERNAL AUDITORS

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Carrying out reviews of hotel revenues for accuracy.
  • Reviewing the night audit processes.
  • Reviewing front office processes to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures.
  • Conducting surprise cash counts in all revenue centres
  • Checking the receiving processes of items procured by the hotel for adherence to procedures.
  • Investigating any breaches of internal controls.
  • Providing input to reports and assisting in making recommendations for improvement.
  • Following up resolution of implementation plans for reported issues.

Knowledge, Skills, Competencies and Attributes desired:

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Allocating rooms to Room Stewards for cleaning.
  • Updating room status in Property Management System.
  • Preparing the Housekeeper’s Occupancy report.
  • Supervising spring cleaning through inspections to maintain quality standards.
  • Responding to guests requests and complaints.
  • Ensuring guest laundry has been delivered by Room Stewards.

  • Making group arrival arrangements.
  • Checking in liaison with Housekeeping, that rooms are ready for occupation in time

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Cleaning the bar at the beginning of every shift.

  • Displaying all beverages available before service on the bar shelf.
  • Welcoming guests, presenting bar tariff, food and cocktail menus, explain contents and offer suggestions.
  • Taking orders from guests, serving drinks and food.

  • Handling containers and operating equipments properly at all times and participating in stock counts.

  • Checking the set-up of conference rooms before functions start.

  • Attending to trouble reports on plumbing system in the hotel.

  • Checking functionality of water tanks and boilers.
  • Servicing water pumps/motors in the boiler rooms, fish pond, laundry equipment and swimming pool regularly.

  • Cleaning and washing all Company motor vehicles.

  • Checking vehicle licenses, certificate of fitness and insurance validity.
  • Collecting and delivering hotel employees, guests and any other assigned trips.
