SUNBIRD IN K5 MILLION SUPPORT FOR PRESIDENTIAL CHARITY GOLF INITIATIVE

Sunbird Hotels & Resorts, Malawi’s leading hotel chain has committed K5 million towards the Presidential Charity Golf Initiative.

The Presidential Charity Golf Tournament, aims to raise funds in support of the vulnerable and school fees for needy students. Sunbird’s Head of Sales, Marketing & Distribution Temwa Kanjadza commented, “Sunbird Hotels & Resorts is honoured to join the valiant efforts in addressing a much pressing need in the education sector – supporting the needy with school fees. Education is one of our pillars in our Corporate Social Responsibility strategy, and therefore aligns with the Initiative’s objectives and as a wholly owned Malawian brand, we underscore our commitment in supporting our communities, we therefore support this noble cause with a K5 million contribution towards raising the targeted amount”.

Kanjadza further commented, “We join the Government and other stakeholders that are doing everything possible to ensure deserving students get all the necessary support to excel in their academics, so that lack of school fees should not be a barrier to their success in life”. And concluded, “As a further commitment to supporting the Initiative, Sunbird Hotels & Resorts is offering a special Golfers accommodation rate at K70,000 and k80,000 single respectively for Sunbird Lilongwe and Sunbird capital during the Presidential Golf Charity weekend”.
