SUNBIRD IN BOOKERS ENGAGEMENT

Sunbird Hotels & Resorts, Malawi’s leading hotel chain hosted a Bookers engagement cocktail at Sunbird Capital. The leading hotel chain extended its greatest appreciation to its valued stakeholders, whose loyalty to the brand, ensured the business remained afloat during an unprecedented turbulent season for the hospitality industry due to the impact of COVID-19. Sunbird further emphasized its need to constantly engage the valued stakeholders in order to ensure continued unrivalled service delivery in the industry.

Speaking at the event Temwa Kanjadza Head of Sales, Marketing & Distribution commented “Our interactions such as these are a platform for feedback from you, a response we value and provides great input into the strategic direction of our business in terms of products and services in order to ensure that the guests that you send to our establishments, including yourselves continue to experience value for money.” She further advised the stakeholders of current and upcoming initiatives in product development and improvements within the Group “In our quest to ensure a diverse customer experience all under the Sunbird brand, we will soon be breaking ground for an Eco lodge in Majete Game reserve, this will target the discerning traveler looking to experience nature and game tourism while accommodating business and pleasure.”

She continued to say” At Sunbird Waterfront and Livingstonia, construction of our new state of the art beach facing restaurant facility is underway – the facility will incorporate an alarcate dining restaurant satisfying the needs of our leisure guest, as well as a groups restaurant ensuring that all segments for corporate and leisure, have an elevated dining experience. A state of the art bar, situated in the same facility will be part of this establishment. The restaurants and bar are expected to launch this March.”

In conclusion, she further commented as follows, “Sunbird Kuchawe is currently undergoing a rooms refurbishment in order to ensure that our guest experience at the “Island in the sky” remains unforgettable. The rooms refurbishment is slated for completion in June. We will soon roll out rooms refurbishment for Sunbird Mzuzu, in order to further cement its position as the premier leading destination for hospitality services in the northern region”.
